The Top Couch Co-op Game You Have Almost Certainly Not Tried Arrives to Switch
Wizard of Legend 2, an procedurally-generated journey centered on sorcerers striving to become renowned heroes, will arrive to Nintendo's console later this month. It will be available November 25, giving devotees of shared-screen games a second chance to explore one among this year's strongest additions in the genre.
A Rocky Launch
The Wizard of Legend Sequel has followed the roadmap of numerous under-the-radar games. The developer released it in early access in late 2024 on PC platforms, prior to launching it fully, alongside PlayStation 5 and Xbox editions, in the summer of 2025. At launch, it got absolutely slammed. Merely less than a third of its player feedback are favorable. The feedback on Steam are "mixed", according to almost a couple thousand reviews, with a lot of players critiquing the general lack of polish and abundance of technical issues upon release. Gamers on PlayStation and Xbox also criticized that the multiplayer component, a huge selling point for the game, largely didn't work.
Consistent Enhancements
However similar to many early access releases that debut in unpolished conditions, Wizard of Legend II has improved. In recent months, its developers have released multiple updates designed to address these concerns. Since experiencing Wizard of Legend 2 more than any new game release recently, it's safe to state its functionality has improved relative to at launch (on Xbox Series X, anyway). It's hit the level where nine times out of ten, I can actually get a cooperative run to work. Not bad!
If It Functions, It Shines
Moreover when The Wizard of Legend Sequel operates, it performs excellently. From an isometric perspective, you navigate elemental-themed dungeons by casting spells in action-oriented mechanics. A great deal of sprinting, plenty of avoiding, a great deal of timing abilities. It's incredibly rapid and endlessly creative; through blending your magical attacks with a friend's, you can unleash highly effective pairings.
Switch Edition Details
Although the portable iteration hasn't been thoroughly evaluated, it's worth noting the very demanding approval process for Switch games. Its creators mentioned via an announcement that the Nintendo release of Wizard of Legend 2 features all updates that have been released in the current year.
